2008 Car Raffle Rules & Regulations
- The ANNUAL NORTHEAST CLASSIC CAR RAFFLE is conducted by the Northeast Classic Car Museum, Inc., an educational corporation organized under the laws of the State of New York, chartered by the Education Department. All proceeds, less expenses and prizes, will benefit the Northeast Classic Car Museum.
- The purchase price of a 2008 ANNUAL NORTHEAST CLASSIC CAR RAFFLE ticket is $5.00 each, 5 for $20.00, 15 for $50.00 or 35 for $100.00. Checks or money orders should be made payable to the Northeast Classic Car Museum. Payment may be made by Visa, Master Card, Discover or American Express by contacting the Northeast Classic Car Museum, 24 Rexford Street, Norwich, NY 13815 (607-334-AUTO) for instructions. Payments are not tax-deductible contributions. If an entrant's check or credit card payment is dishonored by the bank or credit card company, the entry will be declared invalid unless full payment is made in good funds prior to the drawing.
- Requests for tickets by mail accompanied by payment in full may be sent to, and must be in the possession of, the Northeast Classic Car Museum, 24 Rexford Street, Norwich NY 13815 by noon on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2008.
- Purchasers of 2008 ANNUAL NORTHEAST CLASSIC CAR RAFFLE tickets must be 18 years of age or older, and must qualify under New York law.
- The raffle prize shall be the 1965 Mustang Convertible, designated as the 2008 Raffle Car by the Northeast Classic Car Museum.
- The raffle will be closed at 4:00 PM on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2008.
- The winner will be determined by random drawing. The drawing will take place on SEPTEMBER 7, 2008 at 4:00 PM at 2008 Colorscape Chenango Arts Festival, East & West Parks in downtown Norwich, New York. Preliminary announcement of the winner will be made as drawn. Confirmation of winner eligibility will be made and such winner will be posted at the Northeast Classic Car Museum and on the museum's website at www.classiccarmuseum.org on the following day.
- Winner will assume and be responsible for payment of the required federal withholding tax, if any, at the time of prize delivery, all licensing, registration, and all other fees, and local, state and federal taxes, including without limitation, all applicable sales, use, luxury and income taxes. The Northeast Classic Car Museum specifically disclaims all express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, regarding the 2008 Raffle Car.
- More than one name may be stated on the raffle ticket. However, the first listed name shall be deemed the "entrant." Each winner must provide the entrant's appropriate Taxpayer Identification Number, if required, in order to claim the prize. Delivery of the prize shall be made solely to the entrant upon payment of the required federal withholding tax, if any, furnishing the entrant's Taxpayer Identification Number, if required, and documentary identification satisfactory to the Northeast Classic Car Museum. It is the sole responsibility of the entrant in a multiple-party entry to allocate any such prize among the participants in the multiple-party entry.
- The decision of the Northeast Classic Car Museum shall be final on all matters concerning the ANNUAL NORTHEAST CLASSIC CAR RAFFLE.
- The staff and trustees of the Northeast Classic Car Museum, at their discretion, may participate in the ANNUAL NORTHEAST CLASSIC CAR RAFFLE.
- The winner agrees to permit his/her name and photographic likeness to appear in any Northeast Classic Car Museum publicity.
- If 4000 raffle tickets are not sold by one week before the drawing, the Northeast Classic Car Museum reserves the right to split the net proceeds (income less expenses) equally between the Northeast Classic Car Museum and the holder of the winning ticket.
